Delete Your SHIFT Account
Last updated: July 11, 2026
In-app deletion
Open SHIFT, go to Profile → Settings → Delete account, review the subscription warning, type DELETE and confirm. If a required service-provider deletion is still processing, SHIFT keeps the account active and asks you to try again rather than reporting a false completion.
Email request
If you cannot access your account, email sam@useshift.app with subject line SHIFT Account Deletion and include the account email.
What is deleted
- Supabase authentication identity, profile and active account access
- Account-linked activities, hydration logs, private crew/Cups participation, goals and other app content covered by cascading deletion
- The custom-ID RevenueCat customer record used by SHIFT for entitlement history
- User-owned legacy app media and connected-provider credentials where applicable
- Account-bound local data on the device after the server confirms deletion
Subscriptions
Deleting your SHIFT account does not cancel an active Apple subscription. Manage or cancel it in Apple subscription settings before or after deleting the SHIFT account.
What may be retained
- A minimal completed-deletion status and timestamp, without the account email or user ID, for up to 24 months
- Hosted security/authentication logs for their normal retention period, currently up to 7 days
- Encrypted daily database backups until normal rotation, currently up to 7 days
- Ask Coach content already submitted to OpenAI for up to 30 days under its abuse-monitoring controls
- Records Apple or another provider must keep for legal, tax, fraud-prevention or platform obligations
See the Privacy Policy for the complete current data and retention boundary.
